As always I spend opening weekend of walleye season fishing Oneida Lake.
Saturday the bite was tough for us. We found our fish shallow and put them in the boat using blade baits and jerk baits.
Sunday we decided to move out to deeper water. This turned out to be the right move. Not only did we put more fish in the boat but they were larger as well. Trolling stick baits was the ticket out deep.
The season is open and I have dates available if you want to get in on the action. Call soon if you are looking for certain dates as they are filling quickly.
