Oneida Lake Fishing Report 11/6/20

Yesterday’s trip was 5 guys so that meant two boats. Mike, Mike Jr. and shamus went with me while Bill and Glen were second boat.

We started off trolling. The bite was exceptional so we were very picky about what went in the livewell. After 2 passes we moved to try jigging up a few.

The jigging bite was good but nothing like the trolling bite. Overall it was a great day on Oneida Lake putting fish in the boat with every technique we tried. We ended the day with 2 boat limits of Oneida gold in the livewells.

I am still fishing and open for trips. The bite doesn’t get much better than it is right now. Give me a call to get in on the action while we still have nice weather.

All good things must come to an end…just not yet

They say all good things come to an end. Unfortunately this unbelievable walleye season will be coming to an end here in the future.

I am still running trips until the snow flies. The fall bite has been very good as usual. The weather this time of year is unpredictable so appropriate clothing is a must. You want to dress in layers to make sure you stay warm.

All that being said I welcome last minute bookings this time of year. If you want to set something up tentatively based on weather I will gladly work with you to ensure an enjoyable day on the water.

I anticipate a great bite through the remaining open water season. Gibe me a call to set up a great day on the water. I have included some pictures from my recent fall trips.

Fun Weekend Fishing Oneida Lake

I had an absolute blast this weekend with my Oneida Lake fishing charters. One was with new customers and one trip was with a regular of mine.

Saturday I took out 10 year old Harrow, his father Cory, and his uncle Andy. All Harrow wanted for his birthday was to go fishing and catch lots of fish so that was what we did.

We started out in the morning with temps in the 30s. The air might have been cold but the fishing was hot. It didn’t take long to put a limit in the boat with Harrow catching the 3 largest of the day. Many more were caught and released to filet another day.

Sunday my man Clarance was back in town. This time he brought along his mother Jonnie and his grandfather Alby. It was great to she Clarance get his grandfather out for a day of fishing.

Sunday’s bite was not as hot as Saturday’s. That being said it didn’t stop these three from boating a limit of fish.

I still have some fall dates available and expect the fishing to be nothing short of great the rest of the open water season. Give me a call to get in on the action.

Saturday I had Jim and his old Navy buddy Randy on the boat. Randy was in town visiting from Washington. Oneida Lake was angry due to a stiff east wind. We were all glad to be riding in my Ranger boat.

The walleye kept Jim and Randy plenty busy all morning. It wasn’t the fast and furious fishing we have seen in the last couple trips but it was steady. You can’t complain about steady fish hitting the net.

At the end of the day they brought a nice limit back to the dock and plenty more were released to filet another day. I have more fall dates open if you want your own limit to take home.

Today I had the pleasure if guiding Adam and Rich. The Lake was not what you would call happy. It was a bumby ride for sure. Lucky for us the walleye didn’t care what was going on on the surface and were very hungry. They left with a limit of walleye filets and many more were released.

Oneida Lake walleye fishing

The walleye fishing on Oneida Lake has remained excellent. Over the last 2 weeks I have had a bunch of excellent trips. All of which have ended with limits of walleye in the livewell.

A few days ago Chris Scriba asked me to help him with a 2 boat trip. We both used different techniques but eneded with the same results. Our guests went home with piles of filets to enjoy.

If you would like to get in on the action I still have some openings and will be fishing well into the fall.

Oneida Lake Fishing Report 7/22/20

Last night I met a great couple and we had a fantastic evening of walleye fishing on Oneida Lake.

Dave and Deb booked a four hour charter with me for last evening. We had a great time trolling up a total of 16 walleye, 12 of which we keeper size fish.

The fish have moved a bit but are still actively feeding. The mornings and evenings have been the best bites but we are catching fish throughout the day. Typical walleye trolling set ups such as worm harnesses are getting the job done.

If you want in on the action give me a call. Don’t wait until the last minute as dates are booking up at a steady rate.

The walleye fishing on Oneida Lake is still hot hot hot. Both trolling and jigging are taking fish. I have dates available if you want in on the action.

Last night Rob and Jesse met me at the launch to find a very stiff east wind. With the rough lake I gave them the option to reschedule or fish. They weren’t scared of the wind and waves so we fished.

We started out trolling which produced numerous walleye. The trolling bite slowed a bit so we decided to try jigging. It was the right decision as we put the rest of our limit in the boat on jigs.

Dave and his son Ben had an excellent day fishing Oneida Lake with me. Spinner and worm were on fire again. We started the morning with 75 worms and used every one of them.

Ben was very happy to land the lunker of the day, a nice 23″ walleye. If you want in on the action give me a call. Happy Independence Day everyone.

Walleye fishing on Oneida Lake

Kory and Logan had a great day with me fishing for walleye on Oneida Lake. They went home with a limit of tasty walleye fillets.

Trolling 20 to 30 feet of water with spinners and worms was the ticket again Monday. This is often the best technique in the summer. I still have plenty of day available so give me a call to book today.
